An exciting donation was recently received in the form of a Friendly Society Banner from the village of Horsington, near Templecombe, Somerset.
Current exhibition at the Town House, Yeovil
The current exhibition at the Town House is Crime and Punishment, a history of justice in Yeovil since Anglo-Saxon times. On display are handcuffs actually used in the Town House when it was a police station.
The Remembering booklet that was produced for each school child in South Somerset in 2014 to commemorate the outbreak of the First World War is now available for purchase. They cost £3.50 each and can be obtained from Yeovil and Cartgate Tourist Information Centres or from CHAC, please make cheques payable to SSDC.
