Highlights of the Textile Collection

The Textile Collection comprises over 900 items and represents adult male, female and juvenile costume, gloves and socio-historic items such as banners, from around 1780 to the present day.  The majority of the collections have a local history: having been made, worn, or purchased in the South Somerset area. Overall, this collection can be divided into three sections: the Glove Collection, The Bailward Collection & the Esme House Collection.
